I wish I’d of read this book years ago. It was easy to read because the author was so relatable and you could tell she’s walked the road before. She gave practical tips or action steps at the end of each chapter. There’s an accompanying workbook for your tween, too. It is referred to often throughout the book. I texted several moms to recommend the book as it made a lot of things ‘click’ and make sense in parenting our teen/tween girls.

This book is fantastic. If you have an older child (boy or girl despite the title!) who is a worrier you will be reassured that it’s not too late to learn and implement tools that can help her learn to manage her worries and how she reacts to them. If you have younger kids, this is full of great info and tools to help you and your kids realize that you are bigger than your worries and you can manage them rather than be managed by them.
Sissy writes in a way that helps those of us without psychology degrees understand the basics of how the brain functions.
Just go ahead and order it if you’re a parent - you won’t be sorry that you have read it or, at the very least, have it on your shelf for when you do need it!
