Kids Connection

New Families

We are excited that you are checking out Kids Connection at The Well.

It can be difficult to leave your children – especially those little ones – in a new place, and we want to help you through this process. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment for your children of all ages, from birth through sixth grade, where they can learn about Jesus and have fun during that time.

We believe parents are designated by God to be the primary spiritual leaders in the family, and we are here to partner with you to support, help, and supplement your teaching, as we pray for each child to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior.

Safety and Check-in

Safety is a big priority on each of our Campuses. All volunteers are background-checked and trained to work with the kids in their assigned age group.

Our computerized check-in process for all children allows us to make sure that each child is picked up safely and leaves with the right person. Pagers are also available during services for instant contact with parents of children who are 5 and under.

Emergency and evacuation procedures are posted and leaders are aware of their responsibilities and directions.

We maintain a “healthy child” policy for all classes, asking parents to keep sick children at home to prevent spreading illness.

Kids Connection is available for all children at The Well, with buddies for our kids with physical or emotional special needs, so they can be mainstreamed into their appropriate classes.

If you have questions or concerns you don’t find answered here, email mary@thewellcommunity.org or call The Well office at 559.326.5100 x225.

Special Connections

Families of children with special needs are often not able to participate fully in regular church services, so we want to help. We developed a buddy program, called Special Connections, that is available on all Campuses.

As children with special needs are identified, we match each of them with a buddy to meet them each week so they might participate as much as possible in our regular Kids Connection classes. Your child will get the individual attention they need while working alongside his or her peers, and you can participate in our regular worship services.

For more information, or to volunteer to be a buddy, email mary@thewellcommunity.org.
