Volunteer Sign-Ups
Sharing Jesus with kids is a great privilege and an awesome responsibility. You need to love Jesus and love His kids. But we do not take these responsibilities lightly, and want you to know He has called you to be a light to each child He brings to your class with your time, your talents, and your consistent behavior. Jesus, and this commitment from you, will draw kids back week to week.
Your Kids Connection Staff Team promises to provide you with all you need in your classroom: curriculum, materials, direction and training, support and encouragement, and lots of prayer.
This is what we ask from you:
- Complete the application, references, and screening process
- Regularly attend Well worship services
- Respect and honor The Well leaders and staff
- Complete a Discovery class within your first 3 months of serving
- Fulfill your time commitment: September to May or June through August
- Agree to pray for leaders, kids, parents, and ministry
- Be above reproach in your lifestyle and dress
- Be familiar with the policies and procedures of KC and be able to communicate them with families and visitors
- Always use curriculum provided, and ask for leadership assistance, if needed
- Respond regularly to Planning Center Online for schedules and curriculum
- Serve once or twice each year for special KC events
Volunteer Application
Student Volunteer Sign-Ups (17 & Younger)
We entrust our volunteers and paid staff with the nurture and care of our children, and we ask every student 17 or younger, who works in Kids Connection, to complete the student application. Because this service ministry can have an impact on the student’s family, we ask that parents review and accept all expectations required of their students. All information in this application is held strictly confidential by the Kids Connection Staff.
What we ask from each student who serves in Kids Connection:
- Trust Jesus Christ for your salvation
- Desire to grow in your relationship with Christ
- Commit to live a life that makes God look good in all areas
- Complete the application, references, and screening process
- Regularly attend Well worship services (in “Big Church” or WSM)
- Respect and honor the leaders and staff of the church
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the ministry position
- Provide 30-days notice when moving to another area of ministry
Parents, we ask you to prayerfully consider these questions:
- Do you support your child serving in Kids Connection?
- Are you willing to provide transportation for your child so he/she can serve?
- Are you aware that your child must arrive 30 minutes before each service time?
- Students serving in Kids Connection are required to attend their own worship service regularly, in addition to volunteering. Are you prepared to support your child in this effort?
Student Application
Commitment Calendars
We have two major commitment periods:
- Fall Launch: Teaching leaders and Life Group leaders sign up at the end of the summer, committing to serve from September through May.
- Summer Break: To give our school year leadership a break, we schedule new teams to provide classroom leadership and Life Group direction from June through August.
