Summerpalooza Volunteers

Summerpalooza VBS June 17-21, 2019

This is a public service announcement: Summer is coming. And not just any summer, but FRESNO summer. New to the Valley? Set your oven to broil, wait 5 minutes, then open it with your face roughly five inches away. You now know what it’s like to summer in Fresno. You’re welcome.

Why do I tell you this? Because I have the answer to your inevitable question of, “How do I survive this impending doom?!” While I can’t help you with the entire summer, I can make that first wave of 500-degree weather coupled with beautiful children asking for food every five minutes more bearable and even enjoyable: you serve at Summerpalooza!

What is this glorious summer opportunity that sparks hope anew for a peaceful summer break, you ask? Summerpalooza is good old fashioned VBS fun with a huge party at the end. We’ve got music, games, snacks and Jesus - everything you need to make it through the first wave of “I’m bored” and “She’s looking at me.” Still not convinced? Here’s what past Summerpalooza leaders have to say about it:

“This was such an easy way to serve….”

“I think I had more fun than the kids….”

“I love seeing kids excited about Jesus…”

“Serving at Summerpalooza was better than my Hawaiian vacation…”**

Not sure where you fit in? We’ve made it super simple with three options!

**may or may not be true…but it sounds good!
