New Tribes Mission (NTM) is planting churches among unreached tribal people groups. This team visited their most established location in Papua New Guinea (PNG) in 2015.
NTM church planters have learned the local tribal language and culture, have created a written language, have translated and taught the Scriptures, and have taught people how to read the Bible in their own language.
As a result, after 50 years, tons for remote villages in PNG are planting local churches that are thriving and growing, and in turn reaching their neighbors. As you can imagine this is a very long and tiring process.
Our Exposure Trip team came alongside essential long-term missionaries, discovering their world and praying for them, as well as encouraging local believers.
This trip was also a vision trip for one couple in our church body dreaming of tribal church-planting in PNG.
