Cardboard Throwdown

Posted February 9 by Kids Ministry

Think you’ve got what it takes to craft a top-of-the-line supercar? One that will stun and amaze not only your friends, but their dads as well? Then you won’t want to miss The Well’s first ever Cardboard Throwdown! Show off your cardboard-crafting skills while taking in the movie Cars and hanging out with some friends.

Who?

All Well Families. Now, when we say “Well Families,” what we really mean is you. Everyone is welcome. Just know that it won’t be quiet (hello 2-year-old with 10,000 questions), the movie is rated G (gotta keep things holy) and you may consume way too much sugar. The bar will be stocked! (Popcorn bar. Shame on you.)

What?

A drive-in style movie night where you bring your best homemade cardboard car to watch the movie in. Decorating your car is highly encouraged, and if the powers that be decide yours is the best, a fabulous prize, along with endless bragging rights, will be yours!

And if this whole concept frustrates and confuses you, head on down to the bottom of the page where you’ll find a little “Pinspiration.”

When and Where?

  • Friday, March 3
  • 6:00pm-8:30pm (Doors open at 5:30pm)
  • North Campus: Sanctuary

Why?

Because it’s fun! Not only that, but we want to provide a space where families can take a night to slow down and enjoy being together. This is a completely casual event where we’ll provide the drinks, snacks and hopefully a little fun. (Don’t worry, we won’t let Jeremy talk too long!) Grab some Chick-fil-A to share with a friend, or eat at home before the show. Either way, we’ll see you at the Throwdown!
