Fig Garden Student Ministries Pastor, 30 hours per week

Job Function

The Fig Garden Student Ministries Pastor develops and oversees ministry for the families of 5th-12th grade students, providing volunteer staffing, equipping, structure and support for all Fig student ministries.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years experience in the following areas:

  • Proven ability to teach students
  • Overseeing, leading and developing volunteers
  • Developing current programming/curriculum
  • Excelling in a team environment
  • Successful event planning
  • Innovatively reaching, discipling and mentoring teens and pre-teens

  • Develop a volunteer team, by inviting and investing in others, to work alongside you in ministry to fulfill the mission of the church.
  • Oversee Sunday and Wednesday programs at Fig, providing structure, communication, set expectations, leadership development and accountability for youth leaders.
  • Leading students to connect to Christ's church, engage in a Life Group, live a life of service and develop a heart of discipleship.
  • Attend FCA, Campus Crusade and other on-school campus events, and develop a team to participate to further the reach of influence on campuses.
  • Attend team meetings, meet with the WSM director consistently and attend team day aways.
  • Lead monthly team trainings for various WSM volunteer teams.
  • Provide monthly communication for parents.
  • Be a regular student ministries presence on the Fig Garden Campus.

Part Time, Community Life Administrative Assistant, 20 hours per week

Job Function

The Community Life Administrative Assistant attends to the Community Life administrative needs so the Community Life Director and Shepherds can focus on equipping, shepherding and vision in the Community Life world.

Skills and Experience:

  • Great organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed
  • Must enjoy coordinating people, schedules, data, etc. with excellence
  • 2 years administrative experience preferred
  • High level computer and Microsoft application user; Mac experience preferred

  • Develop a volunteer team, by inviting and investing in others, to work alongside you in ministry to fulfill the mission of the church.
  • Partner with Director to assist with general administration, communication, event planning and event execution.
  • Responsible for all Community Life event booking for The Well calendar, preparing for events as requested, communicating with Life Group leaders and occasionally providing on-site leadership/support for events.
  • Maintain department records and database for events and staff, data entry and reports through Fellowship One.
  • Maintain website and social media, making sure information is accurate and relevant.
  • Coordinate new leader contacts and the leader application process.
  • Answer all calls, forward messages and schedule appointments.
  • Work as part of the larger administrative team providing input for all church administrative decisions.
  • Sort, open and draft preliminary mail.
  • Receive, track, record and deposit monies for ministry events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff.
  • Reports to Community Life Director.
