Welcome Newcomers!

A phrase you’ll hear around here often is that we want to be as available to you as you are comfortable with. Life changing decisions shouldn’t be made because of pressure and they don’t have to be made quickly. If you have decided that you would like to make The Well your home, then we suggest taking the following three steps to get connected. You don’t have to do them in any particular order, but if you don’t do all three you may still feel like everyone else is more connected than you.

  1. Find a Place of Worship

The Well has adopted a multi-site strategy. This gives you the ability to attend church services in a large congregation with all of the excitement that brings, or a smaller community where everybody knows your name. Each Campus has its own unique flavor and characteristics. If you don’t like one, you might love another. The one thing you will not sacrifice in the decision is our commitment to great teaching. We use a combo of live and video teaching at all of our Campuses, coupled with live and unique worship at every Campus. Plus every Campus is still connected to the others, so you don’t have to give up our great equipping events and Life Groups just because you attend a “small church.” But to really get connected you’ll have to find one and commit to making it your home. All of our locations and service times are available on our locations page.

  2. Join a Group

We have two types of groups at The Well: Life Groups and Ministry Teams, and if you want to feel like you belong, you will have to get involved with one or both before long. Life Groups are small groups that meet once a week, usually in someone’s living room for the purpose of building relationships and examining Scripture, although many also find that they share a common interest and may volunteer together as well. Ministry Teams are small or large groups that gather to serve in a specific capacity. They also facilitate the building of relationships by working side by side with others to do the work of ministry. Some even incorporate Bible studies into their normal meetings. To find a group, you can either talk to someone at your Campus’ Info Hub, or email lifegroups@thewellcommunity.org to join a Life Group or link@thewellcommunity.org to join a Ministry Team.

  3. Attend a Discovery Class

Discovery is a class that is offered several times a year. The purpose of the class is to establish unity in our body with those who call The Well their home church. It is a four-hour class taught by Brad Bell, our Directional Leader. During the course we discuss our history, beliefs, theology and also a section on discovering yourself and how you are wired. We have never found a need for church membership or a membership class but we do desire unity within our body and this is the class where we try to achieve that. The Discovery Class is also a requirement for leadership within The Well. If you are interested in attending the class you will need to sign up and also complete the assignment packet prior to attending the class. If you want to simply come and hear more about The Well, that is also fine too. It is open for all to see, so we allow individuals to audit the course. For dates or for more information you can visit our Discovery page. If you have any questions, you can contact our connections team by email at connections@thewellcommunity.org.
