I Am JonahSermon Series

Jonah was called of God to go to the great city of Nineveh and deliver a simple message: Repent or you will die in 40 days. Jonah refused. He hated the people of Nineveh and ran from the Lord. He didn’t want his enemies to repent and be forgiven. He caught a boat going in the opposite direction, and there begins the true story of Jonah and the whale.

Our eight-week series tells of Jonah's calling, disobedience and repentance. It tells of God's passionate pursuit, how He speaks through pain and suffering, and the always-present hope for restoration.

God called Jonah to be a messenger, to seek and save the lost, to go to the wicked, the dirty, the pagan.

Ask yourself: do I love what God loves?

I am called to be a messenger, to seek and save the lost, to go to the wicked, the dirty, the pagan.

I do nothing. I am Jonah.
