“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.” ‭- Matthew‬ ‭18:12-13‬, ‭NIV‬‬

We have been here in the Dominican Republic for about a week now. It has already been life changing and is giving me a new perspective. Reading through the book of Matthew, I read through the story of the ninety-nine. The students, kids and people we are serving here could be that one. The one that turns their life over to Christ.

I have been serving with men’s baseball and it is absolutely amazing to see the ministry going on here. We start every practice with prayer and end in a short devotion that we get to lead. The team here in Jarabacoa is one of the only ones in the area. The kids not only get the opportunity to play an amazing sport, but to hear about God. All of the players are so funny and have the best sense of humor. They love to mess with each other and they are all like family. It has made me want to emulate that same heart for others back in the States.

It is amazing that across the globe, in a different country, with a different language, we connect on the fact that we all have been saved by Jesus. Our team is having an amazing time and we are so thankful for everyone who has supported us. Continue to pray for everyone here in the DR and that God may use us to share the gospel.
