Sixth Grade
“Danger Ahead” is the overall message of the Yukon, Ho!! curriculum. Teenagers make decisions that can affect the rest of their lives. How will your children respond to issues of sex, drugs, pornography, dating, or peer pressure when they enter their teen years? What choices will they make? How will they prepare for the dangers ahead?
We provide a stage for your sixth grader to make these life decisions based on scriptural principles, and to think through situations before encountering them. These adolescent issues, or traps, are presented through role-playing, skits, games, and discussions. Scriptural foundations for decisions, a relationship with Christ, and the importance of guides – the Holy Spirit, parents, and Christian mentors – are emphasized throughout. The class is fast-paced to keep your student engaged and having fun, while learning.

In our desire to support, equip, and work alongside parents, we provide handouts when available, as well as parent resources, to help you continue this course at home and have open discussions with your kids. Many parents don’t think about the issues that will confront their children until they face a problem in one of these areas. We want to help you start these discussions and grow together as a family.
