Holly

Holly Serving in North Africa

Her location and organization must remain private because of security concerns.

Holly works with a team that gives hope in a Muslim community by training women in therapy skills. These women then teach families how to care for and include their disabled children in community life. In a place with no other contact with Jesus-followers, the team shares the love of Jesus with them by helping with their daily needs, praying for them and inviting them to read His Word.

The Young Family

Jered, Jessica & Boston Young serving in Thailand 2011

Thailand with New Tribes Mission (www.ntm.org)

Jared and Jessica Young, and their sons Boston and Jackson are with New Tribes Mission, serving in Chiang Mai, Thailand. They spent four years training with NTM, studying the Bible, linguistic techniques, discipleship and cross cultural communication. God drew Jared and Jessica into full time overseas work by exposing them to the reality that there are people who have not heard the Gospel in their heart language, which would allow them to properly understand God's Word.

Currently they are studying the language of Thai and teaching English once a week at their local fellowship. Fluency in Thai will take three to four years of intense study. Jared puts in roughly 40-50 hours a week of study and Jessica puts in 20-30 hours. They have hired a language helper to teach them Thai in one-on-one lessons four days a week. Beyond that, they are planning on being involved in a church plant among tribal people in the Southeast Asia Region. Jared and Jessica can be reached by email at jared_young@ntm.org, on Skype at youngs.place, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/theyoungsplace. Their blog is updated regularly at www.youngsplace.com.

Global Partnerships

To maximize the potential effectiveness of The Well, we have chosen to make institutional investments in organizations we believe in. These are investments in dollars, time, people and other resources. The following are organizations we have established partnerships with:

ITDP

ITDP works to help improve the lives of the Hill Tribes in Northern Thailand by providing fresh drinking water, teaching practical agriculture skills, supporting economic development through fair trade coffee grown by the villagers, helping build and support schools and medical facilities and by sponsoring children.

Fresno Hope

Fresno HOPE Initiative is dedicated to helping the poorest of the poor in Swaziland, Africa, who are struggling with the HIV/AIDS pandemic. They have partnered with World Vision USA to bring lasting change to these communities by providing food, health care, education, clean water, infrastructure, and most importantly, the message of the Gospel.
