God often places us in uncomfortable circumstances to remind us of who He is and to grow our dependence on Him. As God stacks the deck against himself by bringing his people the long way into the Promised Land and by crossing The Jordan during flood season, we see the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Manasseh remember promises of old and obey in faith to their faithful God.
