When speaking with the Pharisees, Jesus says the most important commandment is to love the Lord with everything – with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. But He doesn’t stop there. He also says to love your neighbor. And they didn’t respond well to the second part. We’re probably more like the Pharisees than we’d care to admit. We love the idea of loving God, but people are another story. Yet true discipleship means more than just loving God, and Jesus won’t let you get away with leaving it at that.
