How should believers handle marriage? Peter talks about submission, a topic people don’t like to talk about much, but since the Bible goes there, we must go there too. So what does submission in a marriage look like? Because it might not be what you think. It’s not about superior and inferior. It’s about taking initiative with your spouse to help them become who God created them to be. And it goes both ways. Spouses are called to support, encourage, serve each another and help each other live out their divine purpose, because the overarching goal in all relationships is the glory of God. May we handle our marriages well, continually pointing to God in how we treat each other.
