Welcome to the Summer Palooza FIG GAME TEAM!

We are so excited that you have chosen to be part of the freshest team in all of Summer Palooza. This team is known for having a Jesus following, loudly cheering (okay, yelling), water balloon chucking, kid loving, good time!

Seriously though, you get to show our kiddos first-hand how much fun following Jesus can be. This year that’s done a number of ways throughout camp, but the biggest way they’ll experience fun is through our POWERED-UP Relays that get more exiting each day.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Wait…. For the call Double Rainbow Relay
  • Chuck the Turtle Relay
  • The Giant Stop & Go Relay
  • Ultimate, Ultimate Fruit of the Spirit Relay
  • Family Night- Some of these games will be available for families plus additional fun!

For each day of Summer Palooza we’ll tie into our relay a Bottom Line for that day. A Bottom Line is what we want the kids to remember that will point them back to Jesus. For instance, the Bottom Line for Day 1 is “God wants you to know Him”.

For some, the relay will be a piece of cake. For others, a struggle. As a member of the game team, it is your job to encourage, guide and show the love of Christ to each child that comes through your rotation regardless of their behavior. We would suggest thinking through some possible scenarios and what your reaction and solution might be in each situation. A few examples would be a child that:

  • refuses to participate
  • tries to run off
  • is bullying or making fun of another child.

These are rather unlikely to happen but it’s always good to have a plan. Your Game director, Alfonso Moreno will be with you at all times and you will also have access to your elementary director Shaina Hough, if any situations should arise. Just remember, we never hit, grab or yell at a child.

Each day we will meet as a team at 5:30pm on the Fig Lawn unless otherwise notified. Light snacks will be provided, though you may want to eat an early dinner. We will spend some time getting to know each other, prepping for the evening and praying. Be prepared to get wet each night. So don’t forget closed toe shoes water appropriate clothing. Water makes everything more fun!

Each relay will teach a lesson about Jesus, which will be given by Alfonso. So, please make sure to arrive on time. We want to make sure you are confident during the relay so make sure to ask all of your questions pertaining to the relays orSummer Palooza. You can contact Alfonso at or Shaina at

Thank you for helping make this our best Summer Palooza yet! We couldn’t do any of this without you!
