Exodus Sermon Series

He Sets Us Free / Exodus 12:33-14:31

April 23

Through a substituted sacrifice (the shed blood of the lamb), God saved and redeemed His people. But as we approach what is arguably the most climactic event of the entire Old Testament (the crossing of the Red Sea), we discover that even though Israel has been freed from one kind of bondage, they still need to be freed from another. In this text there are three primary things God does for His people after He saves them: He sets them apart, He gives them direction, and He sets them free. It's in these three things that we'll see not only what God did for Israel 3500 years ago, but what He continually does for us through Jesus Christ today.
