High School / Middle School Pastor – Fig Garden Campus (Full-time / Exempt)
Position Overview:
The High School / Middle School Pastor oversees ministry for families of 6th – 12th grade students to include the recruitment and development of volunteers; creating a presence on neighboring school campuses; creating dynamic youth programs; and developing pastoral relationships with both students and parents. The estimated pay range for this position is $70,000-$75,000/yr.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Manage Fig Student Ministry team(s) with clear communication and direction
- For Midweek: collaborate with WSM staff to develop a Bible teaching calendar and regularly teach the Word of God to students with conviction, compassion, and care
- Collaborate with departments outside of Student Ministry for the benefit of the ministry as a whole: Creative, Worship, Missions, etc.
- Work collaboratively with the WSM team across campuses to plan and facilitate retreats, camps, and events together, and be present at said retreats, camps, and events.
- Be involved in missions trips as agreed upon with the Student Director.
- Maintain classroom management and execute security policies/practices
- Recruit, train, develop, schedule, and support volunteers to fully staff ministry events
- Provide community presence through campus visits, attending events and teaching opportunities.
- Oversee and implement activities, games, music, and messages to communicate truth to students in relatable ways
- Build relationships with students, parents, and volunteers; provide guidance and support for their spiritual journey
- Manage annual budget spending with integrity and efficiency
- Extended and/or overnight stays/travel may be required
- Overtime hours may be necessary
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling may be necessary
- Working outside in varying and sometimes extreme temperatures will be necessary
- Lifting/transporting 40+ lbs may be required
Qualifications:
- A love for God’s students and families; exhibits personal faith in Jesus Christ
- Passionate and enthusiastic about the values and mission of The Well Community Church
- An organized leader with high capacity for tasks and relationships; a builder who is creatively driven both missionally and administratively
- Possesses strong relational and team-building skills while maintaining an attitude of love and grace towards people and especially students
- Experience in Student ministry a plus (3+ years); including the leadership of high-level staff/volunteers
