After discussing the pagan nature of Corinth and their many gods, we explore the spiritual gifts that are given by the Holy Spirit. These verses generate a partial list of spiritual gifts and force us to explore other passages that list gifts as well, creating a picture of the specified uses for each of these gifts, as defined by scripture. We are left with the reminder that the Holy Spirit knows us better than we know ourselves and apportions spiritual gifts individually, as He wills.
