We are halfway through the book of Jude, yet we are right here in the middle we find some of the hardest words from Jude to us. This week we will study verses that describe the judgment of God. With a list of those that are pretending to be righteous only to be full of deeds that show there has not been true heart change and belief in Jesus all along. Judgment of God is real. For those of us made righteous in Christ, we do not have to fear eternal judgment of the Lord. But we are to be on guard for teachers, leaders, even those in our small groups that may lead us astray. These words are hard to read, hard to take to our own heart for reflection, but let us remember the One who brings judgment is the same one who offers us grace upon grace. Jesus, our Master and Lord, has taken ultimate judgment for us, we don't have to fear but we do have to work out that salvation in love and discernment toward those around us.
