Common Questions

• Where and when is the Middle School Special Needs Ministry currently offered?

  We serve 6th-8th grade on Sunday mornings at 11:30am at the Clovis Campus. You can check in at the Kids Building kiosks or in Sensory Room 206.

• How do I register or get started?

  You can get started by completing our Intake Form or contacting the ministry leader directly. This helps us understand your needs and prepare the best possible support.

• What does a first-time visit look like?

  We ask that a parent or caregiver, age 18 or older, remain with their child during the first visit to help them acclimate and to share important information that will allow us to provide the best possible experience. A trained volunteer will be present for support during this visit. After the initial visit, our team will be prepared to support your child on future Sundays.

• What about Well Middle School (WMS) gatherings on Tuesday nights?

  We currently do not offer mentor/buddy support in Well Student Ministries for middle school on Tuesday nights. We can assist your child with a buddy bag with items that they may need to support them.

• Is there a Special Needs Ministry for high school students?

  Not at this time. We are currently focused on building the Middle School Special Needs Ministry.

• Do you assist with restroom needs?

  We do not assist with restroom needs for our kids in middle school. If your child needs restroom assistance, parents will be contacted for support.

• Do you provide therapy?

  We do not provide therapy, behavior modification programs, academic support programs, or any medical intervention. To the best of our ability, our ministry services will strive to partner with parents and utilize tools provided by parents to work together to care for their child. Parents may request that a child’s assigned service provider (e.g., behavior therapist, speech therapist, occupational therapist) accompany the child during ministry events. All outside providers must complete the church’s screening and clearance process prior to participation.
