Mission LA has been an amazing learning experience for me. God has already brought me so close to my teammates and to people I have talked to for only a few minutes during the day. Yesterday we had the opportunity to serve food and take a tour down Skid Row. This experience weighed heavily on my heart. Just seeing people my age living on the street with absolutely nothing was very eye-opening. It made me really appreciate what I have.
Today we got to visit the Angels Nursing Health Center (convalescent home), and I just loved getting to play bingo with them and make conversation. We are only a couple days into this trip, and I already feel how much God is working in my heart and my team's hearts. It truly has already been an amazing experience, and I cannot wait to see what God has for us the rest of the week.
