Yosemite Mist Trail Hike
Join us for a day hike in Yosemite to see God's beautiful creation and some stunning waterfalls at their springtime peak! Families, new hikers and outdoor enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join, as you will set your own pace and go as far as you choose.
RSVP for the hike below by April 23.
For new hikers, the 1.5-mile round trip to the Vernal Fall Footbridge can be surprisingly challenging and offers views of the waterfall from farther below. Plan to bring a book or other materials, as you will most likely have plenty of time to rest and enjoy the views while waiting for others to return.
For the full hiking experience, try doing the 3-mile round trip on the same trail, but continue past the footbridge and up a very strenuous series of stone stair steps that lead atop Vernal Falls for some breathtaking views after a safe but drenched hike that literally goes up the side of the waterfall.
For those seeking a challenge and wanting a truly active pace, try the full 7-mile round trip that continues past Vernal Falls to the top of the second Waterfall, Nevada Falls. The Nevada Falls hike can be difficult even for the athletically inclined and climbs a total of 2000 feet for stunning views.
If you're concerned about the physical demands of this hike, feel free to contact us and we'd be happy to discuss it further.
Best efforts will be made to offer carpooling for those who need a ride, so please let us know if you would be interested in driving and have extra seats for others.
Also note that Yosemite charges a $30 entrance fee per vehicle, and we do ask that passengers pitch in to help drivers with the fee and with gas. Note that The Well does not have security monitoring the parking lot for cars left behind. Please remove all valuables from your vehicle as we cannot be responsible for them in the case of theft.
A full itinerary with more details will be sent to those who confirm they will be attending.
We look forward to seeing you on the trail!
