Spiritual Leadership Cohort

Ministry Leader Development Pipeline

The Spiritual Leadership Cohort is a formation experience designed for executive-level marketplace leaders who want to grow not only in how they lead, but in who they are becoming.

Leadership requires more than strategy, expertise, or execution. It requires the inner clarity, emotional health, spiritual depth, and self-awareness to lead people well and faithfully shape the culture around us.

The cohort goes beyond leadership techniques to create space for spiritual formation and personal transformation. Through shared experiences, guided reflection, and trusted relationships, participants grow in ways that shape how they lead and influence those around them.

Who Is It For?

The Spiritual Leadership Cohort is designed for executive-level marketplace leaders, civic officials, elders, staff, and other church leaders who desire to grow in their intimacy with God and leadership influence. It is intended for those who recognize that working harder is not always the solution, and who desire a robust experience of personal transformation.

Rather than adding another program, the cohort walks a small circle of leaders through gospel-centered spiritual formation and leadership development, together. It is facilitated in partnership with 8th Day Leader, pairing Jack Nicholson and Pastor Brad Bell.

The cohort is best suited for those who are ready to engage in this process with openness, consistency, and a willingness to be challenged.

What to Expect

The cohort creates a shared rhythm of formation that brings high-capacity leaders together over three months.

Participants can expect to:

  • Experience trusting relationships with God and others.
  • Engage in two intensive, in-town retreats.
  • Participate in various forms of transformational exercises.
  • Meet in a triad of other participants under the direction of a triad guide.
  • Grow in understanding and experience of the ongoing work of the Spirit.
  • Show up honestly, actively participate, maintain confidentiality, and prayerfully engage the process.
  • Integrate the principles of spiritual formation into their ongoing leadership development.

The goal is not simply to become a more effective leader but to experience a personal transformation that invites participants to lead at a deeper, more integrated level.
