Summer Cohort is an entry-level ministry development opportunity designed to help young adults grow in spiritual and emotional health while gaining exposure to the life and ministry of The Well.

Through cohort experiences, coaching, and behind-the-scenes ministry opportunities, participants develop greater self-awareness, deepen their relationship with the Lord, and gain clarity about their next steps in discipleship and ministry.

Who Is It For?

Summer Cohort is designed for high school graduates, college students, and young adults who are eager to learn, serve, and grow through mentoring and discipleship.

This is a collaborative, low-pressure environment for those who want to better understand themselves, grow in their relationship with the Lord, and gain a clearer picture of the ministry opportunities and next steps that may be ahead.

What to Expect

Summer Cohort combines intentional formation, community, and exposure to ministry at The Well.

Participants can expect to:

  • Meet weekly as a formation cohort for teaching, conversation, and debrief.
  • Receive ongoing coaching and mentoring throughout the program.
  • Learn foundational practices of spiritual formation through cohort experiences and reading.
  • Grow in spiritual and emotional health through intentional reflection and community.
  • Gain behind-the-scenes exposure to the life and ministry of The Well.
  • Serve at Summerpalooza and participate in ministry alongside others.
  • Serve at Hume Lake Christian Camps with mentoring and structured debrief.
  • Reflect on their growth and next steps through a one-on-one coaching conversation at the conclusion of the program.

The emphasis throughout the cohort is not on proving yourself or committing to vocational ministry. It is an opportunity to slow down, grow, serve, and gain greater clarity about how God is forming you and where He may be leading you next.

Program Details

Length: 10 weeks, June through August

Schedule: Sundays, 4–8 p.m. and Thursdays, 7–9 p.m.

Time Commitment: Approximately 10 hours per week

Cost: $75

The program fee covers retreats, books, and administrative costs, and includes Summerpalooza and Hume Lake Christian Camps fees.

Summer Cohort includes weekly formation, coaching, ministry exposure, and opportunities to serve alongside The Well community.
