Song of Solomon

High School October 15th9:30am-8pm

“Navigating the waters of relationships before we drown.”

Join us for our Song of Solomon Conference at our North Campus where high school students are invited to take a break from their normal schedules to dive into community and God’s word as we navigate God’s design for relationships in our life. Relationships are messy and when done outside of God’s design, can lead to hurt and brokenness. Our heart is to equip students to have the tools to walk out Godly relationships no matter what season they find themselves in.

Brad Bell, lead pastor and elder of The Well, and Jordan Hogue, Student Ministries Director, will be joining us as our keynote speakers, teaching on God’s design for relationships, the brokenness that this design protects us from, and the ultimate hope and redemption we find in Jesus when we miss the mark.

Through multiple breakout sessions during the day taught by a variety of staff members from The Well, we will also be addressing some of the more ground-level, in the weeds topics of relationships including:

  • Trusting God with your Relationship Status: Single, Dating, Recently Broken Up? How do you trust God with your circumstances, no matter what your relationship status is?
  • Defining the Relationship: Identifying if you are ready to date, how to communicate that, and (if you are ready) what it looks like to define/build a relationship centered around Jesus.
  • Boundaries: Why do we set them, how do you have a boundaries conversation, and how do you set yourself up for success in keeping boundaries in your relationship
  • Dating…Now What?: How do you date in community, what are fun healthy date ideas, and how do you continue to pursue health in a new relationship?
  • Conflict in Relationships: Tools to have healthy conflict in any relationship - friendships, dating, family, etc.
  • Help - I’m the Third Wheel: How to be for your friends in a relationship & hold them accountable as they navigate new relationships, as well as navigating insecurities that may come up as you see your friends beginning to date.
  • Messiness of Break Ups: How to break up well, treat your ex as a brother/sister in Christ, and healing from a past relationship.

We are so excited for a day of equipping, discussion time, and ultimately seeking Jesus and his perfect design for us together. We will have a panel (split girls & guys) for a Q&A time where students will have an opportunity to submit questions and hear responses from people within our church.
