What is Thrive?
Thrive is a Conference for 6th-12th grade girls. The heart of Thrive is to equip teenage girls to not only survive but THRIVE as believers in the broken world we live in.
When is it?
Thrive this year will be November 4th from 9am-12:30pm with an After Party Experience until 2:30pm.
What is the theme this year?
We're going 70s style! Think disco, groovy, all the fun things! We will be diving into what it means to be a Godly woman, embracing our identity as His daughter, and living out a Kingdom Purpose. Each of us are created uniquely and on purpose, for a purpose. Genesis 1-2 shows that God created women to be a helper, with the original word being "Ezer." This word is a word that God himself is called, used often in similar roles as the Holy Spirit: helper, counselor, and comforter. God created us in His image to live creative and productive lives. Created by God, in His image as ezers: to be a helper, a strong support, a warrior alongside mankind.
Session Details
In our main session, we will skip a stone through the Bible to see how different women embraced this role as "ezer." While each woman we look at has different giftings, backgrounds, and experiences - we see one common thread: a posture of surrender and willingness to be used for Kingdom Purposes. We will dive into what it means to find our purpose in Jesus + who He calls us to be. The speaker for this session will be Sarah Dains, Hume Lake Christian Camp’s Ponderosa. Director
Following this session, we will have topical breakout sessions led by many different members from the local Fresno/Clovis Community where the girls will get to see this theme on display: a variety of women from different backgrounds with different giftings, having different life experiences and in different seasons of life all pointing towards one common thing: a life devoted to Christ.
