The Well Athletics Ministry is a year-round sports experience connecting families to the gospel through athletics that focuses on developing a player’s skills and helping to build character and integrity on and off the field. The invitation to join The Well Athletics ministry is open to anyone in the community as we come alongside families to make sports more than a game.

The Well Stars - Spring 2026 T-Ball

Recreational Baseball is offered for boys and girls looking for t-ball and coach-pitch programs. All teams will have a weekday practice and one game day per week. This fun, low-pressure environment is ideal for new players to learn the game. All coaches will receive sports training and a curriculum. The league allows families to request coaches and friends to enhance the social experience.

Coaches Needed

Well Stars Coaches help children grow in sport, technique, and character. They drive everything The Well Stars do, on and off the field. Since our athletic ministry operates as an extension of The Well Community Church, our coaches serve in a ministry capacity and are expected to align with and uphold the church's biblical beliefs and leadership standards. All coaches receive sports training and the Challenge Card curriculum and are asked to lead team huddles.

Head Coaches

Head Coaches are the central point of contact for kids and parents, lead practices and games, and, most importantly, facilitate team huddles. 

Assistant Coaches

Assistant Coaches assist the head coach, help run drills, provide individual instruction, keep kids engaged, and step in for the Head Coach if needed.

Field Prep

Do you enjoy working with your hands? Volunteers are needed to help set up game days,  repair equipment, paint the lines, and tear down. No matter your level of experience, there are opportunities for you to serve.

Guest Services

If hospitality is your gift, there are volunteer opportunities before, during, and after all our games and practices, from welcoming families to the Stars fields to answering questions about The Well or The Well Athletics ministry.

SNACK BAR

Our Snack Bar volunteers contribute to a fun and welcoming environment for families by selling snacks, maintaining cleanliness, and engaging with patience and kindness. More than merely serving food, it offers a chance to demonstrate God’s love through a smile, a helping hand, and a positive attitude.

UMPIRES

While we don’t keep score and coaches are present on the fields, STARS Umpires ensure the game remains fair and safe and runs smoothly by enforcing the Well Athletics rules. Most importantly, they maintain a fun and positive environment for families.

Do you like to take pictures? Our Photography Team captures the fun, excitement, and key moments of Well Stars Saturdays. No professional experience needed! Just a willingness to serve, be involved, and capture meaningful moments.

Common Questions

  • We will have two age divisions: one for 3&4-year-olds and another for 5&6-year-olds. Both divisions are Co-Ed.
