With less than a week left of our trip, I am feeling closer to God than I have ever been and it has been amazing to see what God is doing in this part of the world. While in country, our team has worked closely with Campus Crusaders for Christ (CRU) of Thailand to teach English and share the gospel with students at Rhamkhamhaeng University.
During our second week, we have helped students learn action words through sports and write in English as they begin to develop their testimony. Being a believer in a nation where less than 1% of the population identifies as Christian is truly an act of rebellion, and it has been such a privilege and so humbling to hear their stories of faith.
As we are sharing our God stories with the people of Thailand, we are learning just as much from them as they are from us. Their steadfastness and fearlessness in the name of Christ through their evangelism are examples for all of us to follow as we continue our missionary work beyond the few days we have left on this trip.
It was difficult for me at first to have patience and overcome fears of opposition, but over time God has given me a newfound confidence to look past language barriers and cultural boundaries to communicate the universal message of love that Jesus can provide. I am already sad to leave, but so grateful to have been a part of an amazing team and to be given an incredible experience.
