On April 8, after 10 weeks of waiting, the Clovis Campus was proud to meet in their newly remodeled sanctuary. With a new stage, a lighting system, and more Kids Connection rooms, we celebrated Easter Sunday with a new look!

The Clovis Campus opened for the first time Ooctober 10, 2010. The building came with a lot of "character" (including a "lighting system" that was a simple on and off switch). We were ectatic to be in a building of our own and looked forward to seeing how the Lord would use it. As time went on, our families continued to grow and our Kids Connection rooms seemed to get smaller. We knew in order to best utilize the space given to us we would need to create new rooms, have an actual lighting system, and build a functional stage for our worship band.

Beginning Sunday, January 29, our services moved out of the sanctuary and into the lobby of the Clovis Campus so construction could begin. With chairs set up on the bottom and top floors (affectionately referred to as the "dog pound"), our people met, worshipped, and listened to teaching in the lobby using screens on the walls and televisions for our top-floor sitters. As a Clovis Campus team, we expected to see our attendance numbers decline during the construction period, but to our surprise, our attendance grew! We were so encouraged to see our people get excited for the changes happening and continuing to invite others to join. In fact, many people enjoyed sitting in closer quarters!

After 10 weeks, however, we were happy to move from the lobby back into our new home on Easter morning. Kids Connection gained 4 new Life Group rooms and one large group room. We are blessed and encouraged to say that last Sunday each room had kids with Life Group leaders in them! The sanctuary is now a little smaller, which allows space for the new rooms and our people to be closer together during service. We added a lighting system (complete with fading capabilities!) and remodeled the stage so our worship teams can have a clear view of each other. We were able to add a green room for our worship team to use during services which also doubles as a study/library that our teaching pastors can use during the week as they prepare for their messages.

We are excited to have a more functional space so we can serve the church better. Come and join us on a Sunday at 9 or 11 and see it for yourself!

To God be the glory!
