Ministry Fellowship is an intentional ministry development opportunity for individuals pursuing a potential calling into vocational ministry. Participants serve in a paid staff role, gaining focused experience within one area of ministry while receiving broader exposure to the life and ministry of The Well.

Through hands-on ministry experience, staff development, personal discipleship, and mentorship, participants grow in their understanding of ministry and develop greater clarity about how God is leading them to faithfully serve His Church.

Who Is It For?

Ministry Fellowship is for individuals who are seriously considering vocational ministry and are ready to take on meaningful responsibility within the local church.

Applicants should be active members of The Well who have completed the Ministry Internship, VLA, or an equivalent ministry development experience. Participants should be prepared to engage fully in the life of the church, serve as part of a ministry team, and grow through ongoing coaching, feedback, and spiritual formation.

What to Expect

As a participant, you can expect to:

  • Serve in a paid, part-time staff role with meaningful responsibility within a ministry area.
  • Receive ongoing mentorship, coaching, and feedback from experienced ministry leaders.
  • Participate in staff meetings and the broader rhythms of The Well.
  • Engage in personal discipleship, staff prayer, and regular ministry formation.
  • Participate in a monthly ministry round-table focused on growing in ministry wisdom and understanding.
  • Help facilitate the Summer Cohort as part of your development and service.
  • Reflect throughout the year on your calling, strengths, growth, and next steps in ministry.

The goal is not simply to gain ministry experience, but to develop a clearer understanding of your calling and what it means to faithfully serve the Church.

Program Details

Length: One year, June through May

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15 to 25 hours per week depending on ministry role

Compensation: Paid staff position

Location: The Well Community Church

Requirements: Active membership at The Well and completion of the Ministry Internship, VLA, or an equivalent experience

Ministry Fellowship begins with a leadership application and includes ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback throughout the year. The fellowship concludes with a Vision, Awareness, and Strategy review to help participants discern their next step.
