Pastoral Fellowship combines theological formation with the practical work of shepherding God's people.
As a participant, you can expect to:
- Engage in theological training through seminary education or the Residency program.
- Participate in regular Pastoral round-tables focused on pastoral formation and ministry wisdom.
- Receive close coaching and mentorship from an experienced pastoral staff member.
- Participate in a personal formation cohort and develop as a shepherd through life-on-life discipleship.
- Serve in core pastoral ministry, including teaching, counseling, communion, weddings, funerals, and conflict resolution.
- Participate in the broader rhythms of pastoral ministry and the life of The Well.
- Attend Elder meetings once each semester to gain greater exposure to the leadership and shepherding responsibilities of the church.
The fellowship follows a progression from observing pastoral ministry, to assisting in pastoral responsibilities, to carrying an increasing portion of the pastoral load under experienced oversight.
Throughout the fellowship, participants receive ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback through one-on-one meetings, Pastoral round-tables, staff gatherings, and a personal vision, awareness, and strategy process.
