During The High Priestly Prayer, Jesus expresses the desire for all of those who come after Him to enjoy the same kind of unity with the Father that He enjoyed. The love of God is expressed in the deity of Jesus and the incarnation. But God’s love is also expressed in Jesus’ humanity, as shown in the longing for us to be one as He and the Father are one, because that’s where true joy is found.
