In this passage, Paul will defend his critics assumptions that he was preaching a Gospel of Grace in order to win the favor of men. He'll do so by first establishing that he didn't choose this message, God chose Him for it. The Gospel of grace we hold to today didn't come from man, it didn't come from JudaISM, didn't come from other churches- it originated from God alone.
