The thread of "lamb" can be traced throughout the Old and New Testament. It shouldn't have been a surprise to the Israelite people when John says "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world." Jesus was that Lamb, a sacrificed, suffering servant prophesied about in Isaiah 53. Teachers will paint the picture of the Lamb who is worthy and finish with gospel presentation.
