After walking the church through the importance of the supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ in all things, Paul gives a warning for the church to ensure they guard against any sort of false teaching that would seek to convince them to trade in the fullness of the substance they had received in Jesus, for the hollowness of lesser shadows those teachers were selling. In this message we'll see for the first time the exact nature of the false teachings that were surrounding the church at Colossae, how those teachings are still around the church today, and how we are to guard against them through the power of Christ and His gospel.
