"Oh yeah, You're going to the Farmers market tomorrow... I just begged an orphan for a nectarine." #lackofvitaminC
"Oh yeah, you played dodgeball today, well I played Ukrainian death ball."
These are just a couple of some great laughs and fun memories we wanted to share with you all! :)
We have about 30 hours left here and the feelings we have are bitter sweet. Half of the team has gotten sick in some form or another. We have seen, smelt, touched, and experienced things that not many people in America can even fathom. Those are just a few of the hardships we have endured as a team, but have tried to view them in the light of blessings. It has been a hard two weeks for us but it has also been the most amazing blessing to be a part of.
Part of our daily routine is morning devotion in which we are going through the Anatomy of Disciple and how it applies to us while we are here. A couple days ago we talked about being sacrificially generous by denying our personal desires in order to go all out in love for these kids. The awesome thing was to see kids being sacrificially generous with the little bit of candy or food they had. Before coming we knew we would be there to serve and love on these kids, but one thing we weren't expecting was experiencing how much the kids love and serve us as a team.
Tonight is the biggest night of the camp where all of prayers and efforts hope to make a difference in the kids lives. By the grace of God we have been able to plant seeds and God has definitely softened some of their hearts and tonight we hope for those seeds to be harvested as we share the Gospel! Please be in prayer for this night to be exceed our hopes and that the Lord will energize us and give us renewed strength. We give it all up for God to work through the kids!
Thank you all for your love and support from a few thousand miles away!
See y'all soon,
Nicole and Anna
