The Costa Rica Team arrived safely in San Jose this morning at around 5:45 am. We had a great time traveling to downtown L.A. and sharing stories along the way. We stopped in Santa Monica and visited the Pier before we headed to LAX. As a team, there was little anxiety and lots of laughs. One of my favorite highlights was watching Christina Lyons take her first airplane ride to go on a missions trip.
Upon arrival in San Jose we drove for 35 minutes to the Students International Office. We had a quick orientation and then headed to our host homes where we will be staying. All Spanish all the time in the homes, so we experienced a language barrier right of the bat. Luckily for our team we have five people who speak fluent Spanish. This helped break the language barrier down. Our families were gracious and fed us breakfast, then allowed us to rest and clean up before an afternoon at the Students International Office. More updates to come!
