Greetings from Costa Rica! My name is Casie Ramirez. My husband, Orlando, and I are two members of the team here for The Well. We are excited to be able to serve and build relationships in this beautiful country!

I must confess...preparing for this exposure trip has been a journey for me. By being in Costa Rica, we made the decision to leave our 2-year old son at home in California with family. I am also 6 months pregnant with our second child. The decision to come was not easy. Still, I have known for many months that God wanted me to make this trip to Costa Rica. I am so thankful that God brought me here in the midst of the fears and unknowns that I had.

In these first four days of our trip, God has continually revealed himself to me. Through our host parents, I feel a sense of family in the midst of being away from our son. Through our team from The Well, I have felt relationships building and deepening. Through meeting children, I am filled with joy as we play and laugh. Through meeting other mothers, we have an instant bond as soon as they see I am expecting. I am in awe of Gods timing in bringing me here while I am pregnant.

My prayer is that I can continue to be aware of Gods provisions around me as we serve in the days to come. I am so thankful that God can see my heart and can turn fears and unknowns into blessings and joy.
