First of all, hi Mom! Hi Dad!

Today we started our day off bright and early at 6:30 for devotionals. We finished James today and I can speak for us all when I say it definitely challenged the way we live. Next we rode to the Jungle Kids for Christ school where we lacquered the floors, made a pathway, built a retaining wall, and for the most exciting part we saw a tarantula!

Following that we went back to the hostile and had lunch and headed to the river where some of us went swimming/floating. Later in the afternoon we headed to Shiripuno for our second day of VBS. We told the story where Jesus said “I am the Light of the world” and made the coolest little lanterns with LED lights to put in them to be a reminder. I will admit it was seriously frustrating not being able to communicate with the kids but they were so understanding and were just thankful we were there to love and play with them.

Finishing VBS we walked back to the hostile and had the most amazing dinner. Which proceeded into our time of debrief where we got to explain a little snapshot of our day. Then, we made chocolate. Like we took the beans out the shell, grounded it, melted it down, and of course devoured it...quickly.

Lastly I would like to thank you all for your continuous prayer and support...and I promise we are all still living!

Goodnight,

Mckenzie Klassen, for team WSM Ecuador
