Yesterday was a day to remember. The way God moves through people everywhere is something that you don’t forget. We got to go to a place called Casa Gabriel and learn about God’s work there. They also talked to us about God’s work at Casa Adalia. Casa Gabriel works with street boys. Casa Adalia works with girls that are the victims of human sex trafficking. We got to buy jewelry that the girls made. It was very cool. It was good to have my heart break for things I know break God’s. I enjoyed my time there and getting to see people whose hearts are totally for God’s work. After that we got to be total tourists. We went to the equator and took pictures all tourists take. We went to El Refugio (which is a refuge/resting place Youth World runs for missionaries) after that and got to learn about what they do there. We went out for two hours and had some solo time with God. It was great. I think God was speaking truth and hope and life into our hearts. He was teaching us things about him and about ourselves that we may never have even known or believed. For most of us the two hours was too short. It just flew by. I enjoyed hearing about how God worked in others hearts during their time with him. A lot of times we don’t take the time to be with God because we either “don’t have time” or it seems too long or early or we are too tired to try. We don’t realize that when we are with God two hours can be too short.
