Today was a great introduction to YFC’s ministry. We started out at chapel and introduced ourselves to the children. We got to play games and talk to them about what they want to do when they get older. At one point, we got to interact with the 8th grade students and spend time with them as a small group, asking them questions about their hopes and dreams.

Afterward we went outside for game time. During that time, I got to watch the kids play various games and interact with each other. Being a hairstylist, a highlight of mine was spending time with a group of girls answering hair questions and showing them different braiding techniques.

After leaving the school, we walked through the city to the new warehouse under renovation, which will be a Reconciliation Center. I was pleased to see the vision of YFC, and I feel it will grow to spread God’s true Word under their leadership.

In the evening, after viewing the Reconciliation Center, we went to the YFC office to organize games and activities that were in their attic while getting the privilege to meet more staff members. A great way to end the day was sharing dinner with my team and a couple of YFC staff. We shared our experiences and got to pray with one another and learn more about each other.

It was a great first day and I am looking forward to what else God has in store for us in Lebanon.
