Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. - James 1:27 (ESV)

Meet People. Do Stuff. is a simple way to get connect to folks with similar passion points. Jon Kulzer, a project engineer at Lyons, has been running a Meet People Do Stuff group for a while now, and that group decided they wanted to serve any felt needs, especially as it came to working with single moms.

Jon got connected to a Mom’s Life Group at the Fig Garden Campus where one of the moms named Julie had some needs around the house.

Julie has two kids, and without a man around the house she had several yard and handyman type issues she needed help with.

Jon and his crew of 15 people went out to Julie’s house and decided to dream even larger than just the basics. Aside from doing some yard work, the crew turned an old structure in her backyard into a play area. Julie’s two sons are fans of the TV Show "Ninja Warrior," so they turned the structure into a veritable ninja skills practice area. They added a new floor, ladder, climbing holds, a climbing rope and a climbing cargo net.

The Well’s mission statement is, “helping people connect to God and to each other in every neighborhood.” Jon and his group are modeling this in building community and relationships that exist to be a blessing to others in our city.
