Breakfast is done and the work crews are headed out to continue working on bricks, the bio gas project and a shower for the hostel children. In a few minutes I will be teaching a second class on hydration, lifting and stretching. As I wait, the sound of children singing, “My God is so big, so strong and so mighty...” can be heard from just about everywhere on this hill. The last day of VBS is in full swing. The children have learned much this week. The theme was God is.... God is Creator. God is Powerful. God is Love. God is Faithful. God is Savior. Many of the team members took time off of the physical work to share God’s love with the children. It has been a highlight of the trip to hang out with the children!

The water tank is finished and we are slowly progressing on other projects. Brick making is an endless task as they are made one by one, and by hand. We will get the shower mostly completed and it will be the same with the bio gas area. We have helped plant gardens, worked with the cooks on baking in the clay oven and spent many hours with the ITDP staff and teachers. We have also been able to help in the clinic by treating patients and injecting arthritic knees.

Although we are all looking forward to getting home to our beds and a warm shower, a big part of our hearts will stay in this village. Please pray for the teachers, staff and villagers here in Thailand. And for a safe journey home for us.
