The #ukraineybunch has landed! After many hours of travel and a quick stroll through Amsterdam during our layover, we have made it safely to Ukraine. Once we got to Kiev we loaded up the cars and began the quick eight-hour drive to Kiliya, where we will be having camp. The kids will arrive to camp on the 19th, so we have spent the last couple days getting to know the members of the Ukrainian team by hanging out around camp, swimming in the Black Sea and strolling the streets of Odessa. We have also been using this time to prep for camp.
The theme of camp is "God's Treasure," and we have many crafts, songs and activities planned. As our prep time comes to an end and the kids begin to arrive, pray that the kids' hearts will be open to finding God's treasure through the gospel of Jesus. Pray also for energy, as sleep is in short supply. We're so excited to be here and to start loving on the kids at camp!
