Hello from Ukraine! It has been such an amazing trip so far, seeing God work in the kids' lives as well as our own. It has definitely been a battle some days, both spiritually as well as physically but God is faithful and hasn't given us more than we can handle (with Him of course).
We are midway through our second to last day and it is definitely bittersweet, we all miss home but at the same time we will be missing the kids here once we leave. Seeing the changes in just over a week has been great, truly a gift from God. Your prayers have been felt, especially over the last few days, we all thank you for your support and prayers! Working and serving with the Ukrainian staff has been a great experience, we've had our moments but the unity we have in Christ crosses all boundaries.
I'm dreading saying goodbye to the kids, but the food I definitely won't miss.
We've been sick, we've had our culture shocks, we've seen suffering we never thought possible and touched the lives of some of the sweetest young people I've ever met but God is here, working. You can feel the spiritual battle going on in the air. It will be hard and there will be many tears. Thanks be to God we know where the victory lies. If it be today or twenty years from now, if God wants these kids He will have them. We have faith, I just pray that today is that day when these kids will enter our family.
