We have made it safely to Ukraine! When we checked in at LAX we had one small issue with one of the team member's passports who is from Ukraine. Thankfully they had grace on us and made the necessary change for her to go with us. God is good!

We flew from LAX to Frankfurt to Munich to Kiev. All the flights were even on time! We were welcomed to Ukraine soon after piling into a van by a police officer who pulled us over "because we looked suspicious." Obviously we do not have anything to be concerned about and were quickly on our way after he checked the van's papers. Our Ukrainian friends told us this was probably the first of several stops to come. Good Times!

As I type this, we are driving several hours (it is 12:30am!) in order to be at the orphanage in the morning. At this point the team is a little tired but hanging in there. We are looking forward to the days ahead.

Please pray for the following requests:

-Tomorrow is the first day of camp! We will need energy as we fight off jet lag and meet the kids in about 6 hours.

-That God would sustain our team!

-That our team would stay spiritually encouraged as we do ministry with the orphans.

-That the US team would bond with the Ukraine team.

-The kids we meet would come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ!

For the Ukraine Exposure Team,

Jon
