Care Team Admin- Part Time (20 hours/week)
Position Overview
The Care Admin provides essential administrative and relational support to the Care Ministry and its various Care Teams. This role works closely with Care Ministry staff and volunteers to support individuals and families in our church who are in need of care.
The Care Ministry is committed to cultivating a culture of care within The Well Community Church by equipping and empowering the church body through care teams, training, and programs. The Care Admin plays a key role in helping this ministry function smoothly and in fostering a church-wide environment of Christ-centered care. The estimated pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hour.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Support Care Director: Provide administrative support for the Care Director through scheduling, communication, taking meeting notes and other administrative support.
- Support Care Ministries: Provide administrative support for all care-related ministries, including shepherding ministry, funeral team, practical needs ministry, grief groups, and meals team.
- Manage Care Requests: Receive, track, and route incoming care requests to the appropriate next step.
- Coordinate Communication: Maintain timely, compassionate communication with individuals seeking care, ensuring they feel supported and informed of next steps and care resources.
- Volunteer Coordination: Assist with onboarding, scheduling, organizing, and communicating with care volunteers.
- Event & Resource Support: Provide administrative support for care-related events, trainings, and classes (e.g., grief groups, funerals, care training, practical needs works days).
- Follow-Up Administration: Ensure care recipients are monitored and followed up on in a timely manner, coordinating reminders and updates for care staff.
- Confidentiality & Sensitivity: Handle all care information with the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism, and sensitivity.
- General Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling, document preparation, communications, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

- Able to maintain healthy boundaries while caring for those in need.
- Ability to empathically listen to care needs and recipients
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and details simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a warm and compassionate tone.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive care information.
- Some experience with office and communication tools (Google Workspace, Click Up, Slack, etc.).
- Ability to learn and navigate church management systems (Rock).
- Comfortable interacting with individuals experiencing grief, crisis, or care needs, displaying empathy and patience
- Occasional evening and weekend availability. We host occasional Saturday funerals and training as well as care events in the evenings.
