Easter is ultimately about the greatest news that has ever occurred in the history of man. The Bible sums up this news in one word: gospel. Unfortunately, with all the cultural trappings of Easter, the term gospel has become muddy. Someone once even went so far as to say the gospel has been smurfed, meaning it has been turned into a cliché. In this message, we’ll seek to de-smurf the gospel and explore exactly what the good news is, its implications for our lives and why this news is still being heralded all these years later.
