After spending the first three chapters of Ephesians focusing on the Christian's position in Christ and the calling that the church has received through the person and work of Christ, the Apostle Paul shifts gears in the last three chapters by focusing on how we're to live out that calling in various arenas of life and ministry. The first area Paul focuses on when it comes to living out our calling is unity within the church. In these six verses, Paul shows us the importance of preserving the unity that has been handed down to the church through Jesus Christ, so as to fully display the gospel through us.
